OHC Book Club

We are proud to announce that Oconee Heritage Center is starting a book club!!  We will be meeting at 6:30pm on the 4th Thursday of every month.  Our first selection is Look Homeward, Angel by Thomas Wolfe.  The book club will be focusing on local authors and themes, as well as the theme of the greater Appalachian area.

2011 Folk Art Show and Craft Fair

On Saturday August 6, 2011 we are having our very first Folk Art Show and Craft Fair from 10am-2pm.  Although the craft fair is only for one day, the Folk Art Show will last for 2 months!  This show features some of Oconee County's finest folk artists!!  We are truely excited to have this show!!

We are also looking for artisans that would like to exhibit and sell their crafts at the craft fair.  If you are interested in participating in this craft fair, contact Assistant Curator Jennifer Moss by phone 864-638-2224 or by email moss@oconeeheritagecenter.org.  There will choose from the applications which artisans that will participate in the craft fair.  There are a limited number of spaces, so get your applications in!  You can obtain an application at the Oconee Heritage Center in Walhalla or email Jennifer and she will send you a form.  Applications are due by July 23, 2011 and those artisans chosen will be notified by July 30, 2011.
